Diversity Day 2018

Diversity Day 2018 at Maplehurst Manor had a great turn out, and a lot of great conversations, connections, and ideas were put forward with regards to immigration, supporting and growing local service providers, and ensuring Leeds and Grenville is a welcoming community! It was also a great chance to launch the new Leeds and Grenville Immigration Portal! Diversity Day is an annual event hosted by the St. Lawrence – Rideau Immigration Partnership and the City of Brockville. It attracts participants from across Eastern Ontario to learn about immigration matters that include settlement challenges for local newcomers, immigration pathways to Canada, intercultural competency training and more. Various levels of government, international students, services providers, members of the public, faith-based groups and refugee sponsorship group members are regular participants at Diversity Day, encouraging rich discussions and networking opportunities. Diversity Day 2019 will be held in the late Fall – watch this page for further details! You can read the report on Diversity Day 2018 here: Diversity Day 2018-Summary
